BBC seeks reporter [Pakistan]
Experienced journalists fluent in Pashto can apply for this position in Islamabad.
The BBC is looking for a reporter to join the BBC Afghan Service from Pakistan.
Responsibilities include suggesting ideas for features and special reports on social, cultural and other aspects of life in the region and producing multimedia features and special reports.
The reporter will be deployed to locations other than his or her home base in Islamabad. A willingness to work flexibly and travel at short notice is essential.
Candidates must have experience of daily reporting, preferably as a bilingual broadcaster with experience of live broadcasting; thorough knowledge and understanding of the political/economic and cultural developments of Pakistan; and in-depth command of local, regional and international affairs.
