Balochistan newsmen assured of protection
QUETTA, May 17 2006: The government is talking concrete measures to improve the law and order situation in the province, Balochistan Home Secretary Humayun Khan said on May 16 (Tuesday). Talking to a delegation of journalists, the secretary assured them of providing complete security.
The delegation informed the secretary about threats by unknown people to journalists and the incidents of snatching of mobile phones, motorcycles, and cash from newsmen in Quetta. The home secretary said police patrolling would be increased in the city to check such incidents in future.
