APNS to discuss govt-press relations on 15th

KARACHI: The Executive Committee of the APNS shall meet on March 15, 2004 to discuss the present state of government-press relations along with other administrative and organisational issues, stated a spokesman of the APNS.

Muhammed Aslam Kazi, Secretary General of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society, in a statement has announced that the Executive Committee members across the country shall gather on Monday, March 15, 2004 to thoroughly discuss the state of govt-press relations in the country and decide their strategy on pending issues and matters of concern to the industry.

The Executive Committee shall also consider the annual report and finalise the holding of Annual General Council Meeting. It will also discuss the draft resolution on co-branding of govt/govt commercial and private sector clients and decide convening of Extra-Ordinary General Council. The Committee shall also discuss the reports of convenors of Scrutiny, Advertising and provincial committees. The Secretary General APNS has requested all members of the Executive Committee to positively attend the meeting.
