APNS extends date for awards’ entries
KARACHI – Mohammad Aslam Kazi, secretary general of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS), has announced extension of last date of entries for APNS journalists and advertising awards till October 25.
APNS has asked the advertising agencies and journalists, photographers, cartoonists of member publications to submit their entries in any one of the categories latest by October 25, 2004.
He said the entries should have appeared in member publications of APNS during the period January 1, 2001 to December 31, 2002.
The entrants for journalists awards may send three entries for Best Investigative Report (open for all dailies and periodical publications), Best Scoop (open for daily publications only), Best Column (In sub-categories of English, Urdu and regional language dailies), Best Feature (In sub-categories of English, Urdu and regional publications), Best Article (In sub-categories of English, Urdu and regional publications), Best Cartoon (Open to all cartoonists of member publications) and Best Photograph (Open to all photographers of member publications). The photographers (Six copies each) should be of standard size (10 inches x 12 inches).
The advertising categories are: Business Performance Awards 1st. 2nd and 3rd, Special Business Performance Award, Special Business Awards (Periodicals, Regional & Metro-B), Client Performance Awards: 1st 2nd and 3rd, Product Launch Award, Best Copy Award (English & Urdu), Best Visual Award (Black & White and Colour), and Public Service Campaign Award.
