APNS Announces Winners of 24th Journalist Awards

The All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) announced the winners of the 24th APNS Journalist Awards, which will be presented at the 25th APNS Awards ceremony. The event will recognize the winners, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif invited to attend as the Chief Guest and distribute awards among the winners.
A distinguished panel of judges, comprising prominent writers and intellectuals, evaluated the submissions. The panel included Ameena Saiyid, Nasira Zuberi, Professor Tauseef Ahmed, Abid Ali Syed, Professor Semi Naghmana, Professor Dr. Rafia Taj, Sana Ali, Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat, Professor Dr. Har Baksh Makhijani, and Dr. Badruddin Soomro.
Novelist Mohammad Hanif, writing for Dawn’s Eos Magazine, has won the award for Best Feature (English). Rohait Bhagwant (Dawn) secured the award for Best Cartoon, while Naziha Syed Ali and Muhammad Akbar Notezai (Dawn) will jointly receive the award for Best Investigative Report for two separate reports. Additionally, Notezai has also claimed top honors in the category of Best Investigative Report (Environmental/Conservation/
Winners in other categories include Munawar Ali Rajput (Jang) for Best Feature (Urdu), Wahid Paras Hisbani (Ibrat Magazine) for Best Feature (Regional Languages), and Salman Masood (The Nation) for Best Column (English). In the Urdu category, the Best Column Award was jointly awarded to Razia Fareed (Jang) and Nusrat Javed (Nawa-i-Waqt). The Best Column (Regional Languages) Award was shared by Ali Muhammad Memon (Kawish) and Mir Qaim Khan Talpur (Ibrat).
The Best Investigative Report (Business/Economic) Award went to Saleem Ullah Siddiqui (Jang), while Jalaluddin Qureshi (The Express Tribune) won for Best Photograph.
