Anusha expresses reservations over delay in IT projects
Islamabad: The Minister of State for Information Technology (IT) Anusha Rahman expressed serious reservations regarding the unnecessary delays in the IT projects implemented by the departments across the country.
She expressed these views during a meeting regarding the review of Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2013-14 IT projects of Pakistan Computer Bureau (PCB) and Electronic Government Directorate (EGD) held here at the ministry.
She said in the past PCB and EGD focused on the procurement of hardware instead of development of software. She further directed that the PCB and EGD may only continue the useful and productive IT projects and close, the delayed IT projects since many years, within first quarter of the current financial years in order to pay the pending liabilities.
