Ansar Abbasi files counter petition against Wahab
KARACHI: Challenging the defamation suit filed by PPP Information Secretary Fauzia Wahab in the Sindh High Court, Editor Investigations, The News, Ansar Abbasi has filed a petition, praying the court to summon her to explain as to why she, while filing her application, had mentioned him aa a resident of Karachi.
In his application, Abbasi said that he was neither a resident of Karachi nor works there and instead he was based in Islamabad. He said that Wahab had used a Karachi address which falls within the purview of the SHC. In the petition, he said that before filing the defamation suit, Wahab had sent him a legal notice at his Islamabad address. He said that she should be summoned to the court to explain why she had mentioned a Karachi address in the petition.
