All Pakistan Painting Exhibition begins at Rawalpindi Arts Council

ISLAMABAD: For the encouragement of new talent, the Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) in collaboration with Saba Khidmat Foundation has organised the All Pakistan Painting Exhibition on Monday. A total of 15 artists from all over Pakistan, including Karachi, Khairpur, Lahore, Sahiwal, Rawalpindi and Islamabad, showcased their work at the exhibition.

More than 60 art pieces featuring landscape, pencil work, common life, cultural heritage, collage, calligraphy and abstract succeeded to attract a large number of people from the twin cities. The artists who participated in group show are Hamid Alvi, Junaid Nawaz, Saleem Jhatial, Ali Abrar, Anee Fatima, Maryam Rasool, Mirza Shakeel, Mehmood Ali, Hania Zaidi, Iqra Tariq, Muahammad Imran, and Mahrukh Sultan.

Paintings in different mediums such as oil, acrylic, pen drawing, water colour and pastels are on display. Green Task Force Chairman Dr Jamal Nasir along with RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed inaugurated the exhibition and appreciated the artworks put on display. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Jamal Nasir said that it was a great task to invite artists from all over Pakistan under one roof, but the RAC accomplished the job successfully. He said that work of all the artists was wonderful and appreciable. The exhibition will continue until the 10th of this month.
