All Pakistan Newspapers Society denounces murder of Mukhtar Azmi, son
KARACHI: The APNS has strongly condemned the murder of Mukhtar Azmi and his son Baqar Azmi in a target killing Wednesday evening by unknown assailants. Mr Azmi was a veteran advertising practitioner and proprietor of MAZ Advertising. He had worked in some ad agencies in different capacities and took active part in the promotion of advertising industry in the country. He was the former President of Pakistan Advertising Association, says a press release.
The APNS while expressing profound grief over the target killing of Mr Azmi stated that the heinous act has sent a wave of shock, grief and fear among the media practitioners.
It urged upon the Sindh chief minister and IG Police to ensure that the culprits are arrested without any delay.
The APNS office bearers condoled the murder of Mr Azmi and prayed that Almighty Allah may rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family and colleagues to bear this loss.
