All Pakistan Newspaper Society (APNS) Millennium Award goes to S.H. Hashmi

KARACHI- The Executive Committee of APNS has accorded the APNS Millennium Award to S.H. Hashmi, Managing Director, Orient Advertising (Pvt) Ltd, said Arshad A. Zuberi, Secretary General of the APNS in Karachi. The 15th APNS Awards adjudged on the business placed by agencies with member publications are as follows:

Business performance awards:

Orient Advertising (Pvt) Limited, 1st;

Interflow Communications (Pvt) Limited, 2nd;

Maxim Advertising Co (Pvt) Limited, 3rd;

Special business performance award: Midas (Pvt) Limited, Lahore

The Panel of judges for the 15th APNS Awards for Agencies consisting of M. Riaz Mahmood, Anwar Chaudhary, Nusrat Nusrullah and Ziauddin Jeddi selected the following awards:

Best English copy: Asiatic Advertising (Pvt) Ltd for M/s Kodak Pakistan Ltd; Advertisement captioned “Think, Shoot, Capture”. Best Urdu copy: Adarts (Karachi)Ltd for M/s Hamdard Waqf Pakistan Limited, Advertisement captioned. Best visual colour: Asiatic Advertising (Pvt) Limited for M/s Lipton. Advertisement, captioned “Double Chamber Twice the Flavour.” Best visual black & white: Prestige Communications (Pvt)Limited for M/s Sony Advertisement captioned “Offering a Service Network All Over Pakistan.”

Public service campaign: The judges decided that the entries in the public service category are not up to the standard of the APNS award hence a certificate of commendation be given to M/s Interflow Communications (Pvt) Limited for its advertisement captioned “Violence Today’s witness may be Tomorrows Criminal.”

The APNS President has nominated Sh. Muhammad Sabir Qadri, Manager Public Relations and advertising, Pakistan State Oil Company Limited for presidential award for Public Relationing, says a press release.
