92 News Reporter Nadeem Ahmad Injured in Shooting Incident in Karachi

A senior reporter associated with 92 News channel Nadeem Ahmad, was injured in a gun attack in Karachi’s Bahadurabad area on the evening of November 19. The incident occurred after a verbal altercation between Ahmad and the driver of a high-end Vigo vehicle over reckless driving.

Ahmad had asked the driver to reduce speed, which led to an argument. The altercation escalated when the Vigo driver pulled out a firearm and opened fire. Ahmad was struck in the leg by one of the bullets. He was rushed to Liaquat National Hospital, where doctors declared his condition stable and out of danger.

Police officials confirmed that efforts are underway to retrieve and analyze CCTV footage from the area to aid the investigation.

Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed his dismay over the attack and directed law enforcement agencies to expedite the investigation and ensure the arrest of the culprit. He also sought a detailed report on the incident.

Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar also condemned the attack, calling on the SSP East to provide updates on the investigation’s progress. Lanjar emphasized the need to take the journalistic community into confidence.
