The conference aims to promote people-to-people contact between the two countries, Press Trust of India news agency reported.

“The conference is being organised in association with the Lahore Press Club,” Chandigarh Press Club’s Secretary General Ramesh Vinayak said. He said that the conference would discuss the possibility of instituting a media fellowship between the two clubs.
