10pc quota for women in all govt sectors
ISLAMABAD (APP) – Government in Public Sector Development Programme 2008-09 had allocated 10 per cent quota for women in all government departments to increase their role in decision-making.
Government would continue its cooperation with First Women Bank established by Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, according to a budgetary document issued here on Wednesday. In line with its desire to see women coming in entrepreneurship, Govt would encourage Khushhali Bank and Agriculture Development Bank.
Govt has also initiated a process to include gender aspect in budgetary process at federal level to curb gender discrimination through its Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper and Medium Term Development Framework.
