Karachi- Police has busted a 12-member gang of women for their involvement in house robberies in different parts of the city, and in Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta and Peshawar.
Police said that, acting on a tip-off, they arrested the women in Bhitai Abad, near the airport. The gang’s ring leader, Rehana, was also arrested in the raid. Police seized jewellery worth several hundred thousand rupees from them.
Police said the gang members pretended to work as maids in different houses and later robbed the houses.
The gang had carried out house robberies in the Defence Housing Authority, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Safari Park, Hyderi, Nazimabad and Gulberg areas of the city.
