Zamurrad, Sweet Homes children participate in Geo’s Shehr-e-Ramazan

KARACHI: The month of Ramazan is departing by folding all its blessings but most successful special transmission of Geo Network ‘Pehchan-e-Ramazan’ remained the most attractive transmission for the people at ending days of this holy month. A large number of people were the part of Shehr-e-Ramazan on the 26th day of the Ramazan transmission hosted by world renowned broadcaster Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain.

Chairman Baitul Mal Zamurrad Khan participated in the programme along with orphan and poor children residing in Sweet Homes on the special invitation of Dr Aamir Liaquat in the Shehr-e-Ramazan.

Zamurrad Khan, while paying rich tributes to the religious and social services of Dr Aamir Liaquat, said that the honour that he (Dr Aamir) had got in Islamic world was rare. He said that he had been performing his responsibilities as Chairman Baitul Mal for the last four years and his utmost effort was to help the deserving people, especially medical treatment to the patients.

Dr Aamir also praised the services of Zamurrad Khan and said that he was among the few politicians of the country who considered politics as a service to the human being. He said that Chairman Baitul Mal always remained present at the calamities and other incidents occurred in the country.

In the Rah-e-Naikki, Zamurrad Khan announced to bear expenses of medical treatment of the sick children Muhammad Rizwan, Kamran Ali and Zahid and a cancer patient, Nasreen Bibi. He said that he was comforting the soul of his Shaheed leader Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto by doing such noble deeds. On this occasion, Zamurrad Khan donated 50 wheelchairs to the Mahmooda Sultana Foundation and distributed Rs25,000 each among the deserving people. Dr Aamir Liaquat thanked him for this great gesture.

During the transmission, wife of Pakistani cricketer Moin Khan, also participated and appealed for help to a kidney patient. At this, Dr Aamir Liaquat assured her of financial help in this regard. The winning of prizes under the Loh Qurani continued as a woman among the audience won a 120-yard plot by continuously answering two questions.

An American journalist also participated in the Ramazan transmission and tired to know the secret of success of the host during discussion.Meanwhile, prominent religious scholars Mufti Usman Yar Khan, Allama Amin Shahidee, Nasim Ahmed Siddiqui and Prof Younis Siddiqui gave answers to the questions of the audience and the viewers.
