Zafar Siddiqui passes away
KARACHI- Senior broadcaster of Radio Pakistan Zafar Siddiqui, who died on May 31, 2003 after a protracted illness, was buried at the Defence graveyard after Zohr prayers on June 01, 2003. He was 74.
His funeral was largely attended besides relatives by radio artists, broadcasters and journalists.
He leaves his wife and a son Amir Zia, who is a journalist. Zafar Siddiqui, who was one of the senior-most broadcasters, had also worked in TV plays, particularly in “Khuda Ki Basti” in which his role of a quack doctor was very popular.
