Young maid accuses lawyer of gang-rape

KARACHI: A woman identified a suspected kidnapper before a judicial magistrate on Thursday and deposed that he not only abducted her but also subjected her to gang-rape along with his two accomplices.

The suspect said to be enrolled as a lawyer with the Karachi Bar Association was arrested on May 21 for allegedly kidnapping his 26-year-old maid within the remit of the Darakhshan police station. The following day he was remanded in police custody.

The investigation officer informed the court that a medical examination of the woman was conducted and its report would be issued soon.
