Young girl kidnapped, raped

SHERGARH – Eight accused including a woman allegedly kidnapped a young girl from the suburban village Hussain Garh situated in the limits of Shergarh Police and one of the accused raped her.

Akhtar Ali, son of Faiz Ali, a resident of Hussain Garh, told that one Liaqat’s wife Razia Bibi used to visit their house. The other evening, she came and took his sister Shazia Bibi along with her for some ‘urgent work.’ He said that he got worried when his sister did not return after a considerable time. In the meanwhile, he came to know that his sister had been kidnapped at gunpoint by Muhammad Ishaq, Liaqat Ali, Liaqat’s wife Razia Bibi, Muhammad Amjad s/o Munshi Khan, a resident of Qila Sondha Singh and four other unidentified men. He said that the accused took her to Lahore. One day she got an opportunity, ran away from the house where she was confined and returned home.

He alleged that the accused had forcibly taken his sister to Lahore where accused Muhammad Ishaq raped her. On the complaint of Akhtar, the police have registered a case and started investigation.
