Workshop on media role in HIV/Aids awareness
LARKANA: A one-day workshop on the current situation of HIV/Aids was organised for media persons here on Wednesday by the Mehran Welfare Thist (1WT), Larkana.
The workshop, sponsored by the Sindh Aids Control Programme (SACP), was held at the larkana Press Club, The facilitators highlighted that the media can play a key role in spreading awareness in the society about HIV/Aids, to motivate the community for the rehabilitation of primary counseling and prevention.
The participants agreed that it was the social responsibility of the media to play a role for rooting out the growing epidemic of HIV/Aids in Pakistan.
