Women’s Chamber attends exhibition in Delhi
KARACHI: A 12-member delegation of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sindh is attending an exhibition organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI’s) Ladies Organization FLO on March 5 and 6 in New Delhi.
Some of the delegation members are hi-fashion designers such as Faiza Samee, Farida Qureshi, Dr Farah Dewan (cosmetologist), Aisha Rahman, daughter of Faiza Samee, Huma Naveed and Aasma Hanif, the Acting Secretary-General of the WCCI, Ameera Sultan, announced, on Friday.
The delegation’s visit is aimed at promoting Aman Ki Asha initiative of the Jang Group and the Times of India Group of newspapers between Pakistan and India.
The founder president of Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sindh, Begum Salma Ahmad, had signed a memorandum of understanding in 2004 and prior to that the Pakistan Association of Women Entrepreneurs had excellent relations with the Chambers of Commerce and Industry FLO for the past 20 years.
A formal meeting has also been arranged between the WCCI and the FLO. The delegation is being led by Faiza Samee.
