Women’s conference
Karachi: The Sindh Graduates Association (SGA), Karachi (women’s branch) will highlight atrocities such as Karo Kari and Child Marriage perpetuated against the women in a two-day ‘Women’s Conference’ on March 27 and 28 at a local hotel.
The conference will be inaugurated by Sindh Assembly Speaker, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, at 5:00 pm. Sindh Culture Minister Sassui Palijo will be the chief guest. According to Mehtab Akbar Rashdi, President, the conference will award women from Sindh who have excelled in literature, education, media, and performing arts.
A musical evening will be held at night on the first day. The second day will have three sessions. The first session will be presided over by Justice (retired) Majida Rizvi.
