Woman tortured to death by kin
LAHORE: A mother of seven was tortured to death by her three relatives over a trifle in Qadri Street of Sherakot on Sunday.
Sherakot police inquiries showed that 45-year-old Surraya, wife of Billa Masih, went to the adjacent house of her husband’s brother for fetching water.
During her stay, they went into arguments over some petty issue following which Lal Masih, his wife Mukhtaran and son-in-law Basharat attacked Surraya and thrashed her badly.
The woman with critical wounds was taken to hospital where she died. The suspects escaped after locking their house.
Police shifted the body for autopsy and registered a case against three people on Billa’s complaint.
