Woman, son kidnapped in revenge for run-away girl
KHAIRPUR: Tension gripped Khairpur on Friday after the Phulpoto tribesmen kidnapped the sister of a man with whom one of their tribeswoman eloped a few days ago.
The News has learnt that Parveen Phulpoto ran away from her house in the Munshi Mohalla with Asadullah Chhajro. After the incident, the Phulpotos had pressurised the Chhajros for the return of Parveen.
They had also threatened that of the girl was not given them back, they would kidnap their Chhajro’s women in revenge. However, the Chajiro tribe ignored the threat.
On Friday, the Phulpotos attacked the house of Asadullah’s sister, Nadia, and kidnapped her along with her son, Naveed.
After the latest kidnapping, tension griped Khairpur as the people fear the situation might go worse. The police have arrested one Ghulam Hyder Phulpoto for the kidnapping of Nadia and the Khairpur DPO was pressurising the Phulpoto tribesmen for return the girl.
It is learnt that the Phulpoto tribesmen have told the police that they would free Nadia after the Chhajros would return their girl first.
