Woman gang-raped in Depalpur
OKARA: Three people gang-raped a woman in revenge for registering a gang-rape case by her sister against their friend. Muhammad Khalid and Tayyab gang-raped Miraj Bibi, daughter of Bashir Ahmad, in Ludhewala village some days back.
The Depalpur Sadr police registered a case against three people and arrested Tayyab. In revenge, Khalid, with his accomplices, Muhammad Abbas and an unidentified person, entered the house of Bashir Ahmad and gang-raped Shahnaz Bibi, elder sister of Meraj Bibi. They also injured her on resistance. Later, they fled after detaining the family in a room. After getting intimation, DPO Azeem Arshad and the SP Investigations reached the spot. Under their instructions, the police arrested Muhammad Khalid, the main accused, within three hours of the incident.
Man kills sister in Jaffarabad
SUKKUR: A man killed his sister in Jaffarabad on Tuesday. Police said Kalo shot dead his sister Sharifa in village Ghulam Qadir Marri on the charge of Karo-Kari.
