Woman complains of torture

NAUSHAHROFEROZE: A woman, resident of Moro city, on Monday accused her brother-in-law of thrashing her and her children severely besides looting her gold ornaments some three days back.

Munawar Sultana, resident of Ward-III of Moro, on Monday reached outside the Naushahroferoze press club, alongwith her husband and children, and protested that her brother-in-law Roshan Ali Khokhar, a sub-inspector in the Sindh police, and his associates Abdul Sattar, Wazir, Abdul Jabbar and others, forcibly entered her house on Thursday night and tortured her and her children brutally.

Later, they cut her hair and looted gold ornaments and fled, she added. She said despite the registration of an FIR against the accused, the police were not apprehending them. The family demanded of the senior police officials to order immediate action against the accused.
