Woman burnt to death by in-laws
KASUR, July 19: A woman was burnt to death allegedly by her husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law over a family dispute here on July 18 at Vehgal in Mustafabad police limits. Reports said Mumtaz had married Akhtar three years ago and had given birth to two daughters on which her husband and mother-in-law were not happy. Two days back, Mumtaz sent a message to her father and feared that her husband, mother-in-law Jamila and father-in-law Rasheed Ahmed would kill her. Her father sent her uncle and cousin to look into the matter. When they reached Mumtaz’s house, they reportedly found her engulfed by flames.
She was rushed to DHQ hospital where she told the police that her husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law sprinkled petrol on her. Later, she succumbed to her burn injuries. Police have registered a case.
