Wife allegedly murdered by husband
Karachi: The body of a woman who had been murdered was found on Monday in her house in the Surjani Town police limits. The victim was identified as 25-year-old Jameela, wife of Ali Nawaz.
At about 3 pm Monday, Jameela’s neighbours heard a loud quarrel between her and her husband within the confines of the couple’s house (No. 253) in Yousuf Goth, Surjani Town. JameelaÂ’s body was found later. Her husband has disappeared and is considered to have absconded.
The Surjani Town police told The News that they believed that Nawaz slit his wife’s throat during the fight and fled the house. Jameela’s body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for a post-mortem examination.
