Wage award issue before cabinet
ISLAMABAD — Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on June 30 reiterated his commitment to place the issue of implementation of the 7th Wage Board Award for newspaper employees before the cabinet.
“I will fulfill the commitment I have made to the journalist community,’ Mr. Ahmed told reporter during a press conference at the PID auditorium.
Sheikh Rashid said he would place a resolution recently adopted by the National Assembly on the Wage Board Award before the new cabinet.
It would be upto the cabinet to take a decision on the matter, he added.
