Utility Store at KPC inaugurated

Karachi: Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister Haleem Aadil Sheikh, inaugurated the opening of a branch of the Utility Stores Corporation (USC) at the Karachi Press Club on Monday and said that the PML-Q and the government would set up USC branches at the important Press clubs of the country and that the setting up of the branches was not just meant to cater for the holy month of Ramazan but would be a permanent feature where journalists would get essential items of daily use at subsidized rates.

He said that their party had been solving the journalists’ issues on a priority basis and added that after their inclusion in the present government, they would continue to accord special attention to the mediafolk’s interests.

Senor federal minister for production Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi; Sindh and Balochistan Coordinator for Utility Stores, Babar Qaimkhani; and zonal manager, USCs, Babar Bashir, were also present on the occasion.

Karachi Press Club President and Secretary Moosa Kaleem, also addressed the function. Addressing the gathering, the federal production minister’s coordinator for Sindh and Balochistan, Babar Qaimkhani, said that the USCs would be stacked with genuine and quality items and journalists must immediately report any fake or low quality items. He said that the USC outlet at the Karachi Press Club would function from 10 am to 10 pm.
