US firm keen on enhancing IT sector

KARACHI: The US-based WYSE Technology Inc has offered to support the Pakistani varsities for further improvement in the standards of Information Technology (IT) education in Pakistan, which will enable local students to compete at international level. According to the WYSE press release issued on Friday, the promotion of IT greatly depends upon quality education and to acquire a respectable position among the conglomerate of nations. Dr John Kish of the WYSE Technology said that Pakistan had made tremendous progress in the filed of IT during the past few years and managed to play a leading role in the region. He said that WYSE Technology Inc was planning to uplift the standard of IT education in Pakistan to bring it at par with the international standards. He stated that the Government of Pakistan must be appreciated for carrying out investor-friendly policies.
