Urbanite.pk unveils new website, mobile prospectus
KARACHI: Urbanite.pk, a fresh name in service sector, has been enjoying a boom, since their inception, as contrary to other Internet shopping malls, Urbanite.pk provides food items, including frozen items and ice cream as well, along with a wide range of several other items.
Urbanite.pk for Karachities, recently celebrated receiving its 4000th online order, which is quite the achievement for an internet company that launched less than 5 months ago.
In this regard, Urbanite.pk recently held an interactive session with media, where it announced that it has started working on the “Urban Mobile App” – a smart phone application that will allow users to avail their seamless online services on the go and with a tap of a finger, rather than a click of a button.
Syed Ozair Bokhari, chief executive officer of the Urbanite.pk, said while delivering a presentation that the application is scheduled to be released close to the end of October. Urbanite also made it known that they are soon releasing a brand new interface for their website as well, to continue improving and innovating their services in the month of November.
“Urbanite.pk, which is a free community portal catering to the everyday needs of the quintessential Karachiite, has indeed come a very long way since it was launched in May 2012. The website now attracts more than 150,000 visitors per month and has more than 50 clients on board ranging from restaurants and bakeries to financial institutions and lifestyle facilities,” he said.
Talking further about future plans, he said after receiving a greater than expected reception in Karachi, Urbanite.pk is planning on expanding its operations to other major cities as well, with a keen eye on Lahore and Islamabad in particular. Urbanite’s goal is to bring a new understanding and appreciation for online retail and customer services in Pakistan and looks to change the way Pakistan conducts business. “We at Urbanite are looking towards encapsulating all the essential services required to meet the needs of the Pakistani Urbanite on one free, user-friendly platform,” he said.
Earlier, while introducing Urbanite.pk, he said it is Pakistan’s 1st Online Community Portal – a 1-Stop-Shop Solution – that provides users with the answer to all their “urban needs”. It is through their interactive and user-friendly portal service, and expertise in customer and client facilitation, that customers and vendors are able to conduct their business transactions online, seamlessly and efficiently.
