Uplift work brings revenue losses to PTCL
KARACHI: The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) STR-III has said that damage has been done to its network in areas of Pak Capital, Malir, Nazimabad Orangi and Azizabad in the jurisdiction of STR-III due to development works of various civic agencies and 20,472 telephone lines also went out of order. A spokesman for PTCL STR-III said that the PTCL has to suffer a revenue loss of millions of rupees due to ongoing development works of various civic agencies including, CDGK, KESC and KWSB. The PTCL is taking necessary steps to claim compensation for these losses. It said that necessary repair/ maintenance work was taken in hand immediately by PTCL maintenance team and many interrupted lines were restored, whereas repair work was in progress. PTCL regrets the inconvenience caused to its valued customers, the spokesman said.
