U.S. Embassy Announces Open Applications for a Multi-Country Press Tour to NATO HQ

Islamabad, July 6, 2012: The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce open applications from print journalist for a Multi-Country Press Tour to NATO HQ, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) and Joint Forces Command (JFC) Naples, to promote understanding of NATO capabilities in NATO member and partner countries. This program will take place September 17-20, 2012.

This media tour presents an opportunity in the aftermath of the Chicago Summit for media representatives who do not have a deep knowledge of NATO and/or its Partnership programs to gain a broader understanding of the alliance and its activities worldwide.

This program is targeted at print journalists with a basic knowledge of NATO, who would benefit from the broader NATO perspective. Separate cameramen will not be considered.

Applicants must be English speakers, and must agree to follow the entire USNATO tour. Separate programs cannot be arranged. Participants must bring all required equipment necessary to perform their duties as a journalist, including laptop computers. Participants must be able to carry their own luggage and equipment without assistance, and must be available to travel for the duration of the program.
