Two wounded in attack on private TV office

KARACHI – Two people were wounded in an attack by unidentified gunmen on a private television building in Guru Mandir area on Monday.

Police officials said that a security guard and a staffer were injured when the armed men opened fire at the TV office. Following the attack, a massive contingent of law enforcers rushed and started collecting evidences from the crime spot. DSP Qaiser Ali Shah said that nothing could be said about the nature of the incident, maintaining that the gunmen wanted to steal or snatch a motorcycle. Further investigation is in progress.

The injured guard was identified as Naseeb Khan, 28, and the other as Jawad, 24, a technician. The condition of Jawad was stated to be in critical condition at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
