Two sisters gunned down in Pindi hostel

Rawalpindi: Two sisters were killed and one was injured when a gunman opened fire on them inside a girls’ hostel, located at Lal Kurti. Three sisters Safia, Saira and Sobia were running a private girls hostel. They were shot at by Asad, a resident of Lal Kurti. “Asad entered the hostel and opened fire which led to deaths of Safia and Saira while Sobia was shifted to hospital in critical condition, police said.

The culprit Asad managed to escape from the scene. The sisters belonged to district Attock and were running Noor Girls Hostel. According to preliminary information, Asad wanted to marry Saira but her family had refused. Rawalpindi City Police Office (CPO) Azhar Hameed Khokhar said a team of policemen had been constituted to investigate the incident. Police, after an autopsy, handed over the bodies to families of the deceased and registered an FIR against Asad.
