Two killed over karo-kari

SUKKUR – Karo-Kari has claimed two lives, including that of a young girl, in village Kando Mazari in Guddu police station jurisdiction, district Jacobabad, late on November 27, night.

Mehmood, 23, was on his way to home when five armed persons shot him dead and fled. Khamiso Malik, father of the deceased, registered an FIR with Guddu police station against five persons, including Rahamdil, alias Bhagio, Jan Muhammad and Niaz Ahmed Mazari.

According to the villagers, after killing Mehmood, the armed persons also shot dead a girl, whose name could not be ascertained immediately, and threw her body in a river.

Separately, passengers of several vehicles were robbed by the dacoits while three persons were also kidnapped along with their jeep, near village Sunharo Faqir in Salehpat police station limits, district Sukkur. A gang of dacoits on gunpoint robbed passengers of several vehicles.

Later, the dacoits kidnapped three persons along with the jeep and fled. In the meantime armed villagers and police chased the dacoits, and after covering some distance all the three kidnapped persons were found tied. They told the police that the dacoits robbed them, tied them and drove away their jeep.

Separately, Yaroo Lund police recovered eight motorcycles and arrested three persons from a house in Yaroo Lund police station jurisdiction, district Ghotki.

Yaroo Lund police conducted raided the house of one Abdul Malik Lund, recovered eight motorcycles and arrested three persons-Ghous Bux, Allah Warrayo, and Abdul Wahab.

Also, a labourer Shafi Muhammad Lund, working in the cotton factory of Raja Khan Maher, was electrocuted. Factory manager said the deceased’s family would be given appropriate compensation.
