Two journalists drown

ISLAMABAD : Two local journalists of Online News Agency drowned in Nala Korang near Satra Meel, Barah Kahu. According to details, two young Sub-editors of the Online News Agency, Islamabad, namely Safdar Ali Nasir and Faisal Ghori enjoying picnic with their office colleagues on Independence Day (August 14), were drowned while swimming in Nala Korang.

Due to torrential rains on the mountains of Margalla a heavy flood came in the Nala.
The two young journalists could not maintain balance against heavy flood water and were drowned.
Their colleagues tried to save their lives, but failed.
The swimmers of Pakistan Navy were called for rescue. They found dead body of Faisal Ghori, while the dead body of Safdar Ali Nasir could not be traced in heavy flood.

Nisar’s condolence: Federal Minister for Information and Media Development Nisar A Memon, has expressed his deep sense of shock and grief over the tragic demise of Faisal Munir Ghauri and Safdar Ali Nasir of Online.

The Minister, in his condolence message to the bereaved families, prayed to Almighty Allah to grant courage and fortitude to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss and rest the departed souls in eternal peace.- PPI/APP
