TV journalist found dead
LAHORE: A reporter of a private TV channel was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a park here in the Model Town police limits on Tuesday.
Police have removed the body to morgue. The victim was identified as Yousaf Khokhar, 35, a resident of Model Town. He worked as a reporter for a private TV Channel. A passerby informed the police about the victim. Police reached the spot, admitted the victim to a local hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. Police collected forensic evidence from crime scene. Police said it seemed that he was poisoned as two packs of juice were found on the bench where he was found lying dead. A relative of the deceased said he was a bold journalist and had exposed many cases of corruption. These days, he was also working on a corruption matter which involved many influential personalities, he said. It was quite possible that he was killed by some people who were exposed by him or feared to be exposed, he claimed.
