TUJ demands compensation for killed journalists
PESHAWAR: The Tribal Union of Journalists (TUJ) on Thursday demanded the government and media organisations to compensate the two tribal journalists who were killed in a suicide attack in the Mohmand Agency on Monday.
“The government and media organisations (for which the two journalists were working) have demanded through a unanimous resolution that Rs 1 million should be given to the families of the killed journalists,” the TUJ said in a press statement. Both Abdul Wahab and Pervez Khan were among 42 tribal elders and levy force personnel who were killed in twin suicide attacks in Ghalanai on Monday.
