Tribal Union of Journalists (TUJ) vows to protect journalist

PESHAWAR- Sher Khan Afridi, Central President of Tribal Union of Journalists (TUJ) condemned the attitude of political authorities of North Waziristan Agency (NWA) with journalist community and vowed to protect the rights of their members at any cost.

Talking to a delegation of tribal journalists here, he said that the Political Agent of (NWA) Mushtaq Jadoon is pressurizing Hayat Ullah member of TUJ for publishing news regarding the in-competency and inefficiency of the concerned political administration of the agency.

He further said that the motive behind the foundation of TUJ is to promote healthy journalism in tribal belt but some of the high-ups in the tribal areas start the victimization of journalist whenever some news publish against them and the fresh example is the behavior of political functionaries in NWA who are pressurizing the local Journalists, he added.
