Three women released from Hyderabad jail

HYDERABAD, July 14 2006: Three more women prisoners have been released from women prison Hyderabad after the court allowed their bail on personal sureties and relevant courts accepted bail applications of nine more inmates on July 13.

Jail officials said Rani Nadeem of Latifabad was released on July 13 evening who was languishing in the prison on theft charges. A Section police Latifabad arrested Rani along with her husband Nadeem for theft in a private clinic.

She was granted bail on personal surety as she could not afford the bail amount. Two other women including Aatoon and Sabira of Khipro in district Sanghar were also released on July 13 from women prison and their relatives arrived at the jail to receive them. They were arrested two weeks back while going to India through the Khokhrapar border with a fake passport. The court also accepted the personal sureties of these women prisoners since they could not pay the bail amount.

The lawyers of the Legal Aid Committee told newsmen that bail applications of nine more women prisoners have been accepted and they would be released in due courser of time after completion of legal process. Four women prisoners have been released from women prison Hyderabad in two days out of 36 beneficiaries, jail officials said.
