Three women assaulted

Karachi: Three women were brought to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) in separate cases of assault.
Fozia, wife of Babar Saleem and daughter of Omar Farooq, came in after her husband brutally beat her up. According to the WMLO, Dr Naseem, the woman had already had an abortion in her last pregnancy, and was pregnant again when her husband beat her up again. Results of an ultrasound have not yet revealed whether Fozia has lost her baby or not. The victim is a resident of Landhi, Mohammad Nagar Mohallah.
Forty-year-old Meena Sohail, wife of Sohail, was beaten up by a woman who was a former neighbor. According to Meena’s statement, the woman forced her way in, and demanding money from her. Upon Meena’s refusal, she beat Meena up violently. The case was reported in the Ferozabad Police Station. The victim is a resident of the Delhi Mercantile Society.
Mukhtiar Bibi, aged 35, resident of Shah Faisal Colony was beaten up by her in laws.
Reports said that Mukhtiar’s husband Gulzar had died some time ago, but she was still living in his house with her in-laws. On Friday morning, her in-laws beat her up to push her out of the house. Sources said that they wanted her to leave so that they could distribute the family wealth among themselves.
