Three newsmen held in Khairpur
KHAIRPUR- Three journalists were arrested in separate incidents and one of them was released.
According to details, Kot Diji police registered a case against four persons including two journalists on the complaint of a Tapedar, Ghulam Shabbir Abbasi, accusing them of creating hurdles in the official work and attacking the Tapedar.
Those nominated were: Liquat Pato, Muhammad Yaseen Rajpar (both journalists), Mir Pato and another. The two journalists were arrested.
Sobhodero police arrested Muhammad Hussain Lakho after registering a case against him and his son, Ajeeb Lakho, a journalist on the complaint of the presiding officer of Wada Lakha polling station for threatening the presiding officer and forcibly casting fake votes during local bodies (LB) elections.
The police registered the case under sections 147, 148, 149, 502, 506/2 and 353 and arrested the father of the journalist while he himself is absconding.
