Three killed in name of honour

SUKKUR: Two women and a man were killed and another injured on suspicion of having bad characters.

A man shot dead his wife and uncle in village Asad Rind near Mamul railway crossing, situated in Saddar police limits, Jacobabad over allegations that they were nurturing an illicit relationship.

Sources said that Ali Jan Rind shot dead his wife Resham and his uncle Mir Hassan Rind on suspicion that the two were having illegitimate relationship and injured his cousin.

The accused came home on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday in tipsy condition and began fighting with his family members which aroused his uncle from sleep who scolded Ali Rind for creating a fuss. This irked the accused who took out his pistol and shot dead his uncle and injured his son Mushtaq Rind and fled.

Accused later came back with a dagger and slaughtered his wife after declaring her kari with his deceased uncle Mir Hassan Rind and then surrendered at the police station, said sources.

SHO, Saddar police station, Fida Hussain Shaikh registered an FIR against the accused on behalf of state.

Police shifted bodies to Jacobabad hospital and the injured was referred to Larkana hospital in critical condition.

In the second incident a woman was gunned down by her brother on the pretext of karo-kari in village Jungal situated in Thull police limits on Wednesday.

Reports said that accused Idran Pahore went to the house of his sister Mehar Khatoon when she was busy doing house work. He shot her dead with his pistol and fled.

Police shifted the body to Thull hospital for autopsy, while ASI Thull Mukhtiar Shah on behalf of state registered a case against three men including, Idran Pahore and two unidentified.
