Three held for attacking Hyderabad journalist
HYDERABAD: The Cantonment Police on Sunday arrested three suspects for attacking senior journalist Muhammad Hussain Khan.
The injured journalist, who is still being treated at a private hospital, was shown a picture of the suspects on a cell phone screen and he also suspected that one of them was the attacker. Meanwhile, protest against the attack on the journalist by the activists of the Sindh National Front (SNF) continued here on Sunday.
A demonstration was staged in front of the Hyderabad Press Club. Senior journalists and office-bearers of the press club led the demonstration, while reporters and photojournalists attended it.
The demonstrators chanted slogans against the SNF and demanded arrest of those responsible for attacking the journalist. The president and the general secretary of the press club also appealed to the management of press clubs and journalists across Sindh to hold protest rallies against the attack on Tuesday.
