Thar coal project to generate 60,000 jobs: Qaim

MIRPURKHAS: Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has said the Thar coal project would generate around 60,000 jobs and also bring an end to energy crisis in the country.

He was addressing a big public meeting at the Mithi Sports Complex here on Saturday.

He said that in a country like United States, around 30,000 government jobs are provided yearly, but the PPP government has created a flood of jobs in the country within three years.

The chief minister said that Pervez Musharraf during his tenure had barred the leader of the masses, Shaheed Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto, from coming into the country but now he himself is living in exile.

Qaim said Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was subjected to an injudicious murder.

He said the PPP government has always given priority to the Thar people.

Provincial Minister for Information Sharjeel Memon, Local Government Minister Agha Siraj Durani, Katchi Abadis Minister Rafique

Engineer, Agriculture Minister Syed Ali Nawaz Shah and others also spoke on the occasion.

Earlier, Qaim Ali Shah visited the water filtration plants installed at different locations in the district.
