Television Employees: ‘500 may lose jobs unless court intervenesÂ’
ISLAMABAD: Nearly 500 employees of a television channel may lose their jobs on August 15 if the court does not alter its decision, petitioned a senior apex court advocate to Justice Jawwad S Khawaja of the Supreme Court on Friday.
Representing the ATV employees in a petition filed by Chairman All Pakistan Newspapers Employees Confederation Nasir Naqvi, senior advocate Hashmat Habib said that 500 employees of ATV were not made respondents in the litigation matter between Shalimar Recording Company and Sports Star International. Habib said the division bench decided on July 22 that Shalimar Recording Company will run the channel on its own, without any interference.
