Tamgha-i-Imtiaz announced for late Ednan Shahid, 2 other journalists
ISLAMABAD: Civil awards were conferred on 154 citizens, including the late Ednan Shahid, the founding editor of The Post, and 17 foreign nationals on the Independence Day in recognition of their outstanding services for Pakistan.
The President of Pakistan will hand over the awards at an impressive ceremony to be held here on March 23 in connection with the Pakistan Resolution Day. Two other journalists to get the award are Shakil Sheikh and Tahir Khalil.
According to a Cabinet Division notification, two of the prominent figures to get the awards are: the late Ednan Shahid (Tamgha-i-Imtiaz) and HH Shaikh Hamada bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Hilal-e-Pakistan).
