Taiwanese computer firm to hold road shows in Pakistan

LAHORE, March 10 2005: A Taipei-based computer company Asustek, will hold road shows in Pakistan to create awareness about the latest developments in the information technology sector. In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Country Manager of Asus in Pakistan, Badar Khushnood said that the Taiwanese company had decided to increase its business activities in Pakistan so as to develop volume of its trade in the region.

He said that Asus being the perennial leader of the motherboard and graphics card industries and a top 10 player globally ‘for notebooks, optical drives and broadband moderns could play a significant role in computer business in the country.”We are going to initiate an awareness move on the latest computer technologies developed by Asus in the computer industry ” Badar said.

The road shows, he asserted, would begin from March 21 with three-day activities at Lahore followed by the next three days busy schedule at Karachi ie March 24-26. He said that the road shows will focus on the youth of Pakistan as well as computer business stakeholders.
