ISLAMABAD- President Gen Pervez Musharraf introduced amendments to anti-terrorism law, empowering the government to ban any organisation involved in terrorism.
Under the amended law printing, publishing, or disseminating any material, for projecting any person convicted for a terrorist act or any banned organisation placed under observation would be an offence punishable with imprisonment up to six months.
The amended law, however, provided an exception. “A factual news report made in good faith shall not be construed to mean projection (of person or organisation.)”
